Do you help others? All It Takes Is A Little Bell
I read a story from an unknown author that came through my email the other day and just had to pass along the message it was spreading.
It was about two horses in a field. From a distance you would just think they were like all the other ones that you have seen, but if you stop and get a little closer, you would notice that one is blind.
The owner has given him a good home and this horse seems to be very content and happy. To aid him on is journey you hear a little bell, looking around for the source, will notice another little horse coming close beside.
Attached to the harness is this little bell. It is there to help the blind horse so he can follow.
Little Bell
The trust from the blind horse that he puts into the little horse with the bell is amazing. He knows that he is safe and will not be led astray.
The little horse is a great protector and always makes sure his friend is right there where they need to be; for shelter and food. GOD does not throw us away just because we are not perfect or because we have problems or challenges, why should we do that to others. Listen for the bell and follow those who will lead you in your plan of good.
Good friends and great leaders are like that, they know how to bring everyone together and be there for guidance and support. They can encourage and get you to find your own strengths. They can teach you the knowledge and then help you pull it all together when the time is right.
Remember:
Be kinder than necessary. Everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle, Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, and speak kindly! We walk by faith not by sight!
I have come across some really wonderful people in my travels on social media and in person. My wish is for everyone to reach out and lend that helping hand. As in the story, it can be as simple as a bell leading them in the right direction or from some other form of you’re doing.
Listen for the need, you may surprise yourself in how helpful you can be and not even realize it. You do not always have to go out of your way to be there for others, being kind and thoughtful can say a lot.
