Is the Job Done? or was it Splashed!

Is the Job Done? or was it Splashed! Have you ever done something that you really do not want to do?  Or you know what is needed to get the job done, yet you put it off or tried to go around it.

How does that work? Is it good and do you like the finished project; or was it splashed together.

You do what you have to do

Whatever your task is for the day or to meet your end goal, there are steps that need to be taken.  Having to train a variety of people throughout my years, I have learned that you need two or three different ways to do one thing.  Everyone thinks different and functions in ways that make it flow for them.  Think about it, if everyone did everything the same way the world would be made up of robots just functioning from step to step.

I am not saying that if you are going to do something, you need to find your own way; I am saying you need to get the basics that make things work, and then do your thing that you have to do to get the job done.   Basics are your corner stone, make it rock solid, and then you can flare out to create your masterpiece.

Always keep your eye forward

Don’t splash your way through, your struggles will take over and you will surely fail.  Find your basics and get them set in place.  Just like I used to tell my daughter when she was learning how to pitch softball.   Basics over and over till they were drilled in and then you can expand and show your stuff.  She ended up pitching softball all the way through college.

Had to do that when I learned how to play Golf.  Basics drilled into my head.  Then muscle memory was in the works for the game to go smoothly.

Keep your eye on the target, choose your end goal and lay out how you are going to get there.  Do what you need to do to get the job done.   You will be happier with the end result and it will bring you great rewards.

Lesson for today,

Sandy
