Where You Feel Most Comfortable Can Be Costing You.

Are there places that you go, when you are just relaxed and full of peace? Somewhere to regroup your thoughts. Did you know that being in the shadows can be costing you? Below I have a simple experiment to try.

Where do you go?

Why do you go?

Do you head to the big city, or out in the country?

Feel Most Comfortable

It is a place to hide or just wanting to get away from everybody and everything? You need to think of what you are running from; Instead of running toward.

There are days that I just want to disappear, even for just a little while. I tend to think of it as a place to think and regroup.   You need to keep your life’s focus on the goals that you have set.   By eliminating the bad and regrouping can strengthen your purpose. It can set into motion and come back fighting like a champ.

Law of Power #6 “Court Attention At All Cost”

“Everything is judged by its appearance; what is unseen counts for nothing. Never let yourself get lost in the crowd, then, or buried in oblivion. Stand out. Be conspicuous, at all cost. Make yourself a magnet of attention by appearing larger, more colorful, and more mysterious than the bland and timid masses.”

Do you want to bring yourself into power or have your blog stand out? Then you need to “draw attention” to yourself by creating an unforgettable, even controversial image. Court scandal as some may call it! Do anything to make yourself seem larger than life and shine more brightly than those around you. Make no distinction between kinds of attention, notoriety of any sort will bring you power. Better to be slandered and attacked than ignored.

Remember when Mylie Cyrus was in the headlines for you nude video? Did she do it for attention? You bet.   She now stands out and people are drawn to her to see what she will do next. Not saying that is something you need to do, but do get attention somehow.

Stop judging and evaluating yourself, for this is not your role.

What is Costing You

Stop comparing yourself with other people. Don’t look for affirmation in the wrong places: your own evaluations, or those of other people. The only source of a real affirmation is God’s unconditional Love. Use this to attain who you really are and create that image.

It’s not good to search out your faults and failures.  Do not make your comfortable place a place of solitude for hiding.   Come face to face with yourself and use that time to ingest what you need to change. Read good books. Find articles of self-improvement and join groups that have the same goal in mind.

Make friends with the problems in your life. Though many things feel random and wrong, remember that God can help you fit everything into a pattern for good, but only to the extent that you put forward.

Make Piece with Comforts

Every problem can teach you something, transforming you little by little into the masterpiece you are.   The very same problem can become a stumbling block over which you can fall, if you react with distrust and defiance. The choice is up to you, and you will have to choose many times each day. Which route do you want to take?

Stand up for who you are!

This will open your mind to the possibility of the benefits that can flow from your difficulties. You can give your problems nicknames to keep them at bay. One example is with your bad hair day, just say “this is my day to be wild”. Or, when you spill your coffee or have to change or clothes three times before the day starts, then say “This is the day new things will come to me” look for them. Learn how to bring ‘good’ out of every ‘bad’.

Burning more brightly than those around you is a skill that no one is born with. You have to learn to attract attention.   When you start a career, you must attach your name and reputation to a quality, an image which sets you apart from other people.

What image do you portray?

It can be characteristic style of clothing, or a personality quirk. Are you particularly good at one thing in particular? How do you stand out and what are you known for? You must not discriminate between different types of attention. Every kind will work in your favor. That is who you are!

When people look at you funny, or wonder what you are doing, yet follow you, then you are doing something right.   Welcome the personal attacks and do not defend yourself.  Please do not take this the wrong way. Grabbing attention does not mean harming oneself or anyone else.   Be the actor who wants an audience.

“Attract the light to shine on your heightened presence. Gather all eyes to you with a narrow beam. Do whatever it takes to make yourself its focus. Make gestures so large, amusing, and scandalous that the light stays on you while others are in the shadows.”

Places Most Comfortable

Remember the place that makes you most comfortable? Is it costing you? Or, are you growing?  As you grow and learn how to deal with your problems and attract the light to you, your place of comfort will be where ever you are. You will have the confidence and that “Air of Mystery” about you that will give you that comfort.

In a world growing increasingly banal and familiar, what seems enigmatic instantly draws attention. Never make it too clear what you are doing or about to do. Do not show all your cards. Giving that air of mystery heightens your presence; it creates anticipation and you will notice that everyone will be watching you to see what you do next. Yet you feel comfortable.

Illuminate the darkness and come out of your shell to gather the light.   To increase your business or even just create more friendship and followers this is something to keep in mind.

Creating your ‘Air of Mystery’ does not have to be grand or striking. You can weave it into your day-to-day demeanor.   It can be subtle and give a power of fascination.

Try not to be an open book, take control of you words, and image and do not always be predictable. Hold back, act a little odd and emanate an aura of mystery. Watch others and see if they try to mimic you. If your social position prevents you from completely wrapping your actions in mystery, you must at least learn to make yourself less obvious.

Change Comfort every now and then

To change and get out of your trap try this simple experiment:

Do something that cannot be easily explained or interpreted. Choose a simple action, but carry it out in a way that unsettles your opponent, a way with many possible interpretations, making your intentions obscure. Don’t just be unpredictable, create a scene that cannot be read. There will seem to be no method to your madness, not rhyme or reason, no single explanation. If you do this right, you will inspire fear and trembling and the sentries will abandon their posts.

Be yourself today,

Sandy
