Have you ever heard someone say “Outcomes are not Visions”? I did just the other day and made me start to wonder. Wow, he was right.
In your daily life we set our goals, set our to-do list and go from there. Nothing wrong with that, we need this to make sure we are on track, but on track to what? You’re Business To-Do List; Does It Include Singing
What I am learning and want to pass on to you, is making sure that you can distinguish between your outcomes and your visions, and then how your purpose leads to your passion.
I want to help you get started so here are some pointers on Outcomes
Let’s start by learning the difference in setting goals.
Example: I will be making 10,000 a month by Dec 1, 2016! This is an outcome-based goal. It does not go into the details of how I will be doing that. It just states what I am going to get.

hen wanting to achieve something more, we need to Make our Success Measurable and learn how to Break the Rules to go forward.
Here in the Online based industry we want to use outcome-based goals all the time. Our visions will create what outcomes we want. We need to know what we are striving for, and what our dreams are. Then we can set the goals to achieve that!
Do you know how to set visions that are strong?
Setting strong visions comes down to setting a vision statement, or a mission statement. Knowing what your dream is and that it is so big that you want it to come true.
- Concise. While not as short as vision statements, mission statements generally still get their point across in one sentence.
- Outcome-oriented. Mission statements explain the fundamental outcomes your organization is working to achieve.
- Inclusive. While mission statements do make statements about your group’s key goals, it’s very important that they do so very broadly.
Example: My vision to help women find their strong voice and know that they have passions that can set them free.
I inspire others to take action in their lives and make a difference. Finding your true self can open doors and unscrew lids that you never knew were there. Living from within yourself, you can achieve any goal you set!
Do you know where you are going? Knowing that there is help to set you into the right place to make things happen is the first step in your journey.
A purpose leads to a passion.
A purpose gives you direction, motivation and strength to go after something. Finding your passion will come as you progress and make things happen.

___You have shared your understanding of vision and mission statements with who you are
___You understand what is important to people in your niche
___You have decided on the general focus (topic and scope) of your online business
___You have developed your vision and mission statements
___You have decided how to use your vision and mission statements

These are some things for you to think about and then grow with. As you develop who you are and what you want to work on, your visions, outcomes and passions will all come alive.
