Growing resilience is so very natural that we almost don’t even think about it. The desire to grow your career basically comes down to wanting to become rich and wealthy.
Say WHAT?
I knew you were going to ask because when I read that in the book I am reading I just thought, “well, duh” yes, that is part of nature that things keep wanting to grow. Just look around, all things are changing and in a state of growth, Right? And in order for humans to do that is to have more wealth.
How do you grow your wealth resilience?
Do you read? I didn’t for many years and now I always have a book or two always ready to grab. Here are some great ones for you to pick up.
The one particular book that I am reading now is “The Science of Getting Rich” by Wallace D Wattles. It isn’t a very big book, but it is a very powerful book. Check this out!
This one chapter in particular hit me “ Increasing Life” As I mentioned above all things have a desire to grow. It doesn’t matter how, or if we fail, nature shows us that things keep going. We need to learn from our mistakes and not let them stop us.
I would like you to stop and look around…..where is the resilience? Do you see it?
If you are outside, look at the trees. Do they all grow the same? Why do some branches get stuck and grow crooked? Did they give up or find another way. The weeds are a great example. They are so strong in their growth and wanting to live, so they keep coming back over and over.
If you are inside; look at your dwellings. Do all the things in it look new? Or are they worn out? Well, if it is like mine they need replaced, but it shows you that all things are ever-changing. From the cracks in the walls to the worn out pillows on the couch.
So what I want you to learn today is that life, by living, multiplies itself! A seed dropped on the ground, springs into activity. The act of living produces more seeds.
Life produces itself, overcomes obstacles because it is always finding a way to survive.
Is it possible that we are missing something about what it is to be human, something that ‘were it to be known’ would transform our whole understanding of resilience?
What is resilience?
Resilience has been defined as:
1) the capacity to recover quickly from difficulties: toughness
2) the ability of a substance or object to spring back into shape; elasticity, flexibility, suppleness, springiness, give, durability, strength, sturdiness, toughness
3) strength of character – strength, toughness, hardiness, adaptability, buoyancy, flexibility, ability to bounce back
4) the power or ability to return to the original form, position etc after being compressed, bent, stretched; elasticity
5) ability to recover readily from illness, depression, adversity or the like; buoyancy.
NOW, back to the book: it talks about: In order to know more, DO more, and BE more, we MUST have more; we must have things to use, for we learn, and do, and become, only by using things. We must get rich, so that we can LIVE MORE!
Why do you desire to have Wealth Resilience?
Is it just for fancy things or shiny objects? Or is it a desire to know more and do more.
Make the most of yourself, for yourself and for others. For the best way that you can help others is by making the most of yourself first.
And in order to do that you need to be resilient and have a greater desire. No need to compete, for no man has anything of which you cannot have the like. Remember, if you are to become rich in a scientific and certain way, you must rise entirely out of the competitive thought. You must never think that all the money is being controlled by others. Yours is here for the taking!
To make the most of yourself requires you to become wealthy. Let’s turn your career into a growth machine and not settle or get stuck without the growth of resilience!
Be the Best you that YOU can be,
Sandy
