When you search for ways to Dig Out of Yourself, your search might end up in baseball or other sports that are played in the dirt. For instance, that is what they call it in baseball, the dugout.
Another search would be garden supplies. For instance, when you dig you are planting things, right?
Dig My Soul
Yet, what I want to discuss, and things I was looking for. I was learning how to dig my soul out of that dark place that buried me. Hence, you could say planted.
“You have dug your soul out of the dark,
you have fought to be here:
do not go back to what buried you”
Bianca Sparacino
Has caretaking, or caregiving pulled you in to where you lost yourself, lost your own likes and interests. Now you are lost or buried and having a hard time digging out. In other words, you came to the realization that you need to DIG OUT!
Elements of Digging Out
I have collected a few elements to help you gather a successful attitude. This list will help you start to think and you will start to feel lighter and your hole not so deep.
- Positivity.
The body will follow the mind, so if negative thoughts make you feel bad, positive thoughts you start to see good things around you. When getting to a goal, you need to stay focused on the outcome. For instance, recognize and dismiss negative responses that happen and turn them around to positive.
- Belief
Believe in yourself. Dig out of yourself and look from afar. The more we can see the whole picture and know what we want to change, the lighter you will feel.
- Confidence
Give yourself credit for the work you have done and allow it to build up mentally as well as physically. In other words, learn to stay calm and on course of where you are going and your surroundings will do the same.
- Determination
Learning to maintain and build yourself up is one of the best things you can do for determination. Turn your attention to outpace your fatigue, your bitterness, or other challenges that seem to keep you down.
Muscle Called Attitude
To Dig Out of Yourself takes a muscle called attitude. Just like any other muscle it takes time to get into shape. It takes some training and work. Hence, it doesn’t work like a switch, it needs to be developed and toned.
Give yourself time to work on this. Collect things as you go and get rid of other things that pull you down. Over time you will build this muscle strong to where you will never get buried again.
Keep smiling
Sandy
