Do You Know Your Reason WHY?

Do You Know Your Reason WHY?

When you make a goal or give to something, do you know your reason WHY?  We all seem to know the how and the what, but doing something with your whole being, you need to know your reason for the WHY!

Layering Down to The WHY

I had a speaker draw this out on a board the other day and wow it made a lot of people listen.  In other words, draw a circle with two more inside it.

The outer circle is your what, then the next one is the how and finally, yes, it is the why.  If we don’t know why we are doing something, then we will never reach it through all the layers.

Know Your Reason

I have a few posts that talk about goal setting and breaking it down to make sure you reach it, but this really opened my eyes to why some of my own never panned out.  For instance, you set a business goal to make so many sales, or you set a personal goal to get more exercise.

What happened after about a week?  Do you fall off the wagon or can’t seem to get a rhythm?  When I started looking back on things that I failed at, it dawned on me!  I didn’t have a strong reason to do it.  Hence,  I made a note and looked hard at what I was doing and beside each thing I put a reason why.

If it isn’t a strong reason to make that goal, it will not get you there.  In other words, it has to mean something deep within you for it to happen.

Create Your Strong Circles

Let’s all sit down and write out what you want, how you think you can get it and then know your reason why you are doing it and life will treat you so much better.

Keep smiling

Sandy
