Struggling can come at any moment. Yet, strength overcoming obstacles needs to prevail. With injury and heartache I have been needing a lot of that lately.
Do obstacles scare you? I can relate, some do and some don’t. The ones you have dealt with in the past are just annoying and kind of easy. Yet new ones can be stressful, overwhelming and down right scare you beyond what you are comfortable with.
Types Of Obstacles
On a daily basis we run into many types of obstacles.
- Exercise
- Diet and or cooking
- Finances
- Hobbies
- Passions
Now you might not agree with what I listed. Some of those are not stresses or obstacles, but they can to a degree.
In your exercise: you hit a plato and need to change it up. Or you are training for a new sport.
Cooking: For me I don’t like to cook, so finding things to make for one or two people who need to eat differently for health, can be overwhelming.
Finances: need I say more? Even if you are debt free, you need to worry if it is enough.
Hobbies: Things change all the time. They say new and improved. Do you need to change equipment? Add supplies and find new ways to do the same thing.
Passions: Most love this, but there is still strength needed to overcome obstacles that get in your way.
Time For Strength Training
Strength training here does not mean to go hit the gym. Even though that can help. I am talking about inside a person. Here are some ideas:
- Change your thinking
- Calmness and Relaxation techniques
- Healing and taking care of yourself
- Setting goals to reaching new heights
And the most important one, is to know WHY you are doing it? If you can not reach deep down and know the reason why you are doing something, no matter how hard you train or make yourself try, you will never really overcome those obstacles. They will just keep coming back over and over.
I am going to leave you with a quote and let you know if you want more on strength go read my book, I have so much more to tell you. Finding it here.
“The real man smiles in trouble, gathers strength from distress, and grows brave by reflection” Thomas Pain.
